I'm experiencing the exact same scenario. Haven't been able to do an update for months now even though CC says that I need them. When I select "update", it just sits on "waiting" for up to an hour. Then I give up. I did see where the person said that they updated Raw Camera first, then everything else fell in line, but that does not work for me. I'm completely lost on this one. I hope that not updating for this extended period causes no harm........ Greg

WONDERFUL ! She’s working again now. Thank you Trevor. I did the “re-set” thing as per your suggestion. I don’t know how or why it jumped off the track like that. I was working along, making straight lines one moment, then the next it wouldn’t work. Thank you again for saving my Monday work, Greg C.

This morning, I was making straight lines using the brush tool / shift key. Then, suddenly now, that function does not work. All I get is a dot, then a dot. Someone help me please ! I NEED this function every day. I've tried several different workspace settings.... still the same problem. Greg Crawford.

Here is an example of the patch tool enigma .Note how the copied section is FADED. Interestingly, the smaller the bite of the original source, the more the FADE effect.

When I use the patch tool >destination, the copied image is faded. Interestingly, the smaller the "bite" of there original , the more the fade effect.

Yes, Here you’ll see that when I select the majority of the image, the copy is only slightly faded. But when I select 1/4 of the target and move it over to the right, it is faded about 50% or so. Thank you Chuck, been stuck on this all evening. Hope you can help. GCC

I'm using the patch tool, destination. Attempting to make copies of my selection. The selection copy is faded just a little bit. And if I select say, 1/4 of the image to be duplicated and moved, the copied selection is VERY faded. So, the smaller the portion of the original image, the MORE FADED the copy is. I am so stumped .
